Background

Building a powerful brand identity & a professional, responsive website.

The impact of the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has greatly expanded since its launch in November, 2021.

To help facilitate further growth and better communication with partners and funders, the organization approached Rooftop to create a new SOFF website, independent from the main WHO website.

SOFF also requested that we create a cohesive and impactful brand identity that could be rolled out across all of its media platforms, and within the organization itself.

Challenge

Refining existing content & reworking the user experience to create a professional website.

The website needed to help position SOFF as a credible global financing mechanism.

Rooftop’s goal was to ensure the new website was not only responsive to different platforms (desktop, tablet and mobile), but reflected SOFF’s new brand identity, was easy to navigate, and featured all of SOFF’s most relevant and up-to-date information.

All of this needed to be done within a very tight timeframe of just three months.

Solution

Delivering a polished product within a tight deadline.

The Rooftop design team kicked off the project with the development of a comprehensive Corporate Identity (CI) document to help inform the branding of the new SOFF website. This helped establish the graphic approach, colour scheme and photographic style for the entire project going forward.

We also conducted a full audit of the old site and worked with the client to identify the relevant content that would need to be migrated and updated for the new site.

A complete set of page wireframes was developed to accommodate the new content, incorporating all the new elements and features the client requested.

Our web team also put together some static mock-ups of the new site so that the client could familiarise themselves with the new website’s look and feel (UI) as well as the user experience (UX).

The Result

By working closely with our client throughout the process, and sticking to a tight timeline, we were able to fast-track the delivery of the completed website in time for its launch date.

The SOFF team were very happy with the final result:
