Rooftop is looking for a Mid-Level Video Editor to join our dynamic team and help deliver work that will change the world.

JOB PROFILE:

The Mid-level video editor position requires a high standard of storytelling and creative thinking with the ability to bring a story or topic to life on screen, delivering “beyond expectation” for Rooftop clients.

They will work within a team to come up with creative ideas that will set the stage for the edit to come to life in the Adobe suite. The Mid-level video editor not only puts footage together on a timeline but uses their creativity and initiative to enhance the edit and the effectiveness of the video, taking into account audio, graphics, colour, visual techniques etc. The Mid-level video editor takes a good idea and makes it great, makes the viewer feel something.

They will also be responsible for managing their time, being able to multi-task and work well under pressure across multiple projects within a team environment, all while upholding the values of Rooftop.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bring Big Ideas/Concepts to life through your editing ability and experience in the Adobe Suite.
• Editing multiple types/styles/genres of videos depending on the client and project requirements.
• Collaborate with the broader Rooftop team to ensure overall project success.

REQUIREMENTS:

•  3+ years of video editing experience.
• Proven editing skills with proficiency in the Adobe Suite.
• Strong understanding of storytelling principles.
• Knowledge of the entire video production process.
• A keen attention to detail and ability to bring creativity to the timeline.
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and multi-tasking.
• 1-3 years of filming and cinematography experience is a significant advantage.
